Joanna Rzezak is a multidisciplinary artist and illustrator born in Warsaw.
A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, she works across illustration, children’s literature, editorial design, and painting. Her creative process often weaves together watercolour, gouache, pencils, and ink, allowing her to explore a rich variety of visual languages.
She has published books with Actes Sud Jeunesse, Hélium, and La Martinière Éditions, and her works have reached readers worldwide, including in the United States, the United Kingdom, China, Korea, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Poland, Russia, and Turkey.
She is the recipient of the Polish Ministry of Culture Award (2016) and has twice been awarded a scholarship from the French National Book Center (2019, 2023).
She currently lives and works in Paris.
